We guarantee that this workshop will greatly enhance your sense of belonging to the campus and alleviate any feelings of unfamiliarity. You’re welcome to join us!

English Survival (English@HKCC & English@SPEED)

English language is a universal tool for acquiring knowledge and expressing new ideas in tertiary education.  In HKCC and SPEED, you will study in an English learning environment with lectures, tutorials, and seminars; the English Enhancement Programme (EEP) and Self-learning Language Centres (SLLC) in the college will also organize a wide range of online and face-to-face English workshops, competitions, and activities.  “English@CC” and “English@SPEED” will invite the lecturers from your compulsory English subjects to share with you the useful tips on English learning in your sub-degree and degree study.  Don't miss this golden chance before the semester starts!

Graduate Sharing – Campus Life, Articulation and Career Path

You will soon enter a DIFFERENT experience from those of secondary schools – simply memorisation of notes and summary might not be enough to get a good grade now. Students who do not understand these important differences may waste their efforts and still get unsatisfactory results.

An appropriate attitude and approach to learning will do you good at tertiary level. Some existing students and graduates are here to share with you their learning experience and help you cope with the transition effectively.

Time Management Made Easy: Using Apps for Freshmen

This workshop is like a smartphone app that helps you review your time management style and teaches you essential techniques and skills to manage your time effectively, especially during your study.

There are TWO assumptions about time management:

  • Time can be managed.
  • The secret of time management is to work smarter, not just harder.

You may have experienced not having enough time to complete tasks or meet your goals, while at other times, you may find yourself idling around. In order to have a fulfilling school life during your two years, let us learn ways to take control of our time and make the most of it.
