WHAT is Co-curricular Achievement Transcript (CAT)?

The CAT issued by CSAO enables you to keep track of your own co-curricular development and motivates you to pursue lifelong learning after graduation. As a supplement to the Academic Transcript, this transcript also serves as:

Records in CAT are divided into 4 categories:

1. Award / Scholarship

This category includes all the awards and scholarships awarded to students after the procedure of nomination and selection.

2. Contribution to CPCE and its Units / Student Organisations / Community Services

Students’ contributions such as being voluntary student helpers for CPCE and its units in special occasions, being office bearers of the student organisations, or participating in community services organised by CPCE and its units.

3. Developmental Programme

Students' participation in programmes which have an educational and developmental element will be included. The minimum duration of a programme eligible for record is normally not less than 1.5 hours.

4. Others

Students’ outstanding performance in competitions or activities pre-approved by CPCE and its units.

WHO can apply?

All students of full-time and part-time programmes leading to PolyU-HKCC and PolyU-SPEED awards with a valid Student ID Number are eligible to apply via Student Portal (my.HKCC or my.SPEED).

WHEN and HOW to apply?

  1. You can preview online or print your own CAT via Student Portal (my.HKCC or my.SPEED) or visit the following websites at any time of the year:
    For HKCC students: http://www.hkcc-polyu.edu.hk/myhkcc
    For SPEED students: http://www.speed-polyu.edu.hk/myspeed
  2. You may also apply for an official copy of CAT anytime through the above website. However, the desirable periods for application when a comprehensive record of each semester will be available are end-January and end-June respectively. It is expected that data on co-curricular achievements of the previous semester will have been consolidated by then.
  3. Your CAT records are accumulated on an on-going basis throughout your study pertaining to a programme enrolled on a specific student ID number. Therefore, it is not necessary to obtain official printout every academic year unless you have genuine need.
  4. Please note that unlike your academic record, records of co-curricular achievements may not be kept five years after your graduation.

HOW MUCH does it cost and HOW to pay?

  1. Preview function of CAT is free-of-charge. During your sub-degree or degree studies at PolyU CPCE, you may apply for one official copy of CAT free of charge. Further requests will be subject to a fee of HK$50 (non-refundable) per official copy.
  2. A debit note number, if applicable, will be generated when you submit online application. Please click here for the payment methods.
  3. The fee should be settled within 30 calendar days of the online application, otherwise, the request would be cancelled automatically.
