Comprehensive Support Services to Students with Special Educational Needs

To cater for the diverse needs of students with special educational needs (SEN), there are a lot of support services focusing on unleashing students’ potential and cultivating an inclusive campus environment.

For more details, please refer to the Leaflet on Support Services for Students with Special Educational Needs.

Types of Special Educational Needs

Depending on the nature and severity of functional limitations, students with SEN are given special care and support on a case-by-case basis subject to resources available.

Provision of Support

To enable all students to actively engage in campus life and learning, the following services can be arranged according to individual needs:

Non-academic Opportunities

Voluntary Services

It is important for us to provide students with a positive campus experience encompassing both academic and non-academic aspects. Non-academic activities such as voluntary services are offered for students with SEN to foster their engagement in communication and collaboration with others. These experiences are truly valuable as they shall enhance the soft skills and interpersonal skills of students with SEN.

Mental Health First Aid Course

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants how to assist people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves. You are welcome to join our Course if you would like to strengthen your knowledge and apply the skills when helping those in need.
